What the Customer Needed
This 17 year old home had the original, builder grade, 3-tab shingles. After a thorough roof inspection, we determined the shingles were worn and damaged, needing a full replacement. The owners needed a company that would treat their beautifully maintained home and property with exceptional care.
What We Did
We addressed attic ventilation issues and created a plan for improved venting. We installed Weather Pro vents, extended plumbing stacks higher and changed the flashing. We applied CertainTeed WinterGuard ice and water shield at all eaves, valleys, under all roof flashing and around all roof vents and penetrations. We covered the entire roof deck with CertainTeed, Roof Runner underlayment and installed the roof using only CertainTeed starter, shingles and capping to comply with the manufacturer's warranty.
The Results
The finished project features clean, straight lines and premium materials throughout. We left the roof, eavestroughs, balcony, driveway and property neat and tidy. The home is now covered by the CertainTeed integrity roof system, a 5-star warranty providing 50-year non-prorated coverage on materials, labour, tear-off, and disposal, plus a 25-year workmanship coverage, available only through a Select Shingle Master.
